BEST NEW WEDDING TRENDS

Updated: Sep 26, 2023

I've seen so many beautiful, new wedding trends in 2023.

FLOWER BARS

I've seen flower bars added for guest favors, and I am in love. This is such a beautiful idea for favors, because everyone gets to create a unique bouquet before they leave.

I know what you're thinking.... THAT'S EXPENSIVE!

No gate keeping here!

It doesn't have to be. There are options to create this without breaking the bank. This trend is not only great for weddings, but bridal showers as well.

Here are my tips if you're thinking of having a flower bar for your guests:

  1. Get the filler flowers on sale from your local grocery store. Personally, I have Weis & Giant. If you have a Trader Joes, you hit the jackpot. Filler flowers take up a lot of room, and give a full appearance to bouquets!

  2. ORDER FLOWERS IN BULK! But where?! Sam's Club & Costco provide bulk flowers, you can order from either and save big!

  3. Go to Lowes and buy a big roll of paper - I've used these for backdrops before as well. Get to cutting, and use the paper for your guests to wrap their bouquets! Grab some ribbon in the color of your choice, and you're set!

  4. Displaying the flower bar - you don't have to go crazy! If you like the vase vibe, use aesthetic things you already have. For example, mason jars, milk glasses, dollar tree glassware... you name it! The flowers are the main event, no need to worry!

  5. Don't overthink it. A flower bar is always admired and loved by guests!

Would you consider this for your wedding?

I wish I would have known about this trend in 2022!

"WHEN WE WERE" TABLE NUMBERS

I've seen this once in 2023, and it has not left my mind since!

Using photos of the bride and groom at different ages throughout their lives to label the tables. For example, table 6 had a photo of the bride at 6 years old, and the groom at 6 years old. I loved the idea and the thought behind it. Not only was it creative, but shared more with their guests than just a normal seating arrangement,

I had never even seen this trend on social media. After I shot that wedding, it was popping up everywhere! Holy cow!

I think this trend is here to stay. It's sentimental and lets the guests reminisce with the bride and groom.

What do you think?
